Join Us: Become a Member or Volunteer

Rust Belt Revival Trail Coalition is powered by riders and neighbors who care about local trails. There is a place for you whether you want to ride, dig, organize or simply support the cause.

Become an RBRTC Member

RBRTC is a chapter of the International Mountain Bicycling Association (IMBA). Membership in local chapters is handled through IMBA's national system: you join or renew online and choose the local organization you want to support.

  1. Visit the Join IMBA page on IMBA's website.
  2. Search for Rust Belt Revival Trail Coalition as your local organization.
  3. Choose a membership level and complete the sign-up.

According to IMBA, membership resides with the local organization, so more of your support goes toward trail building, advocacy and organizational work on your close-to-home trails. IMBA also lists member benefits on its site, and individuals can support more than one chapter if they ride in several areas.

Volunteer on the Trails

Volunteers build and maintain the trails at Lake Milton and Beaver Creek State Parks. You do not need experience. Crew leaders show you what to do, provide tools and keep everyone safe. Typical tasks include clearing fallen trees, trimming brush, fixing drainage, repairing tread and building new trail.

Trail work days are announced in our Facebook group and listed on our Events page. New to trail work? Read Your First Trail Work Day: A Volunteer's Guide.

Other Ways to Help

  • Report trail problems. Post fallen trees, washouts or damage in the Facebook group with a location.
  • Ride responsibly. Stay off muddy trails and follow trail etiquette.
  • Share skills. Photography, writing, event planning, fundraising and grant writing all help a volunteer organization.
  • Donate. Support tools and materials through our Donate page.

Stay Connected

Our Facebook group is the heart of the RBRTC community: trail updates, events, questions and ride plans. You can also subscribe to our newsletter on the home page.
