RBRTC is an IMBA Chapter located in the Youngstown, OH Area. We currently build and maintain trails at Lake Milton State Park and Beaver Creek State Park.
As of 2022 we are also starting to work with CAMBA to help maintain West Branch State Park trails.
Please check our Facebook Page for updated trail openings and closures.
Lake Milton State Park
Due to the limited elevation and soil type, the trail takes longer than other area trails to open in the spring. Please respect the trail closures as it helps us have the trail open more often in the long run.
There are two parking lots, the North lot is on Ellsworth Rd, and the South lot is on Shillings Rd. The trail is bi-directional and changes based on which day of the week it is. Follow the signs at the trailheads to know which direction to head on your day.
Lake Milton is the crown jewel of RBRTC with roughly 11 miles of completed trail. This trail is full of turns that will definitely help you work on your cornering skills. It has no sustained climbs, but many short punchy ascents that can reward you with nice flowing trail.

Beaver Creek State Park
The trail in the left image shows the “East Side Ride” trails which include Upper and Lower Vondergreen Trails, Vondergreen Trail, as well as Fisherman’s Trail. It is an out and back.
The “West Side Ride” trails are in the image on the right. The trails included are Dogwood, Pine Ridge, and Upper and Lower Salamander Trails.
Beaver Creek State Park has roughly 7 miles of purpose built mountain bike trails, and a lot of hiking trails we aren’t counting (but you are allowed to ride).
West Branch State Park
As of 2022 RBRTC has started to help CAMBA (Cleveland Area Mountain Bike Association) with West Branch trail maintenance.
Lake Side trail generally rides the fastest with nice views of the lake along with some sections full of roots.
South Side trail is more rugged with plenty of rocks.
Quarry Trail will test your abilities with 2 mile rock crawl.
The trails are closed March 1st- the 3rd weekend in May. Please do not ride wet trails.
West Branch is one of the oldest trails in the area, and is ready to test your skill combining long fast section with slow and rough.
